Liam T. Yore

Liam T. Yore MD – Board President & Human Resources Committee Chair

Liam Yore, MD, FACEP, FAAEM has been with NSEM since July, 2000. Since then, Dr. Yore was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2003, and transitioned from the position of Finance Manager to Board President in 2006, a position which he currently maintains. Throughout his tenure with NSEM, Dr. Yore has been the leading force in the group’s organizational development and fiscal management. He played a significant role in transforming the group from an owned subsidiary, into an independent, self-owned practice. His participation was instrumental in the financial turnaround plan implemented to increase provider compensation and retention. Dr.Yore also directed NSEM’s recent internal reorganization, which improved partner involvement in NSEM operations and facilitated internal leadership development. Dr.Yore is actively involved with all contract negotiations with partner hospitals and third-party payors.

Dr. Yore attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology. He subsequently earned his Medical Degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago and went on to complete his Emergency Medicine Residency at John Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Yore is a current member of the American College of Emergency Physicians where he serves on the National Reimbursement Committee and is a Legislative Affairs Section Member. He is also a Team Leader for the 911 Legislative Network aligned with the National Emergency Medicine PAC. Dr. Yore is also a member of the Board of Directors with the Providence General Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising funds in support of new and improved technology to enhance medical excellence in heart care, pediatrics, cancer, vascular and emergency medicine.

Dr. Yore is an avid supporter of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for children’s cancer research. His other personal interests include Shorin-Ryu Matsumura Karate, piloting single engine planes, and playing the Irish Fiddle. Dr. Yore is married, and has three small children.

Enrique R. Enguidanos

Enrique R. Enguidanos MD –Providence Everett Medical Director/Board Member

Enrique Enguidanos, MD has been with NSEM for approximately ten years. During this time, Dr. Enguidanos has served as Board President and most recently serves as the Medical Director for Providence Everett Medical Center. In this role, he is instrumental in implementing new processes to improve patient flow and patient care in the ED. In addition, Dr. Enguidanos is an active member of NSEM’s Human Resources/Scheduling Committee, Risk Management Committee, and the Emergency Department Operations Committee.

Dr. Enguidanos was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Puerto Rico. He attended California State Polytechnic University where he obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Agriculture. He then went on to the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine where he received his Medical Degree. Dr. Enguidanos then relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where he completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at Case Western Reserve University – Metro Health Medical Center. Prior to his medical education,he trained as a Firefighter/Paramedic, and worked for the San Bernardino City Fire Department. He was also a Paramedic Instructor at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California.

Dr. Enguidanos enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, Aikido and playing the guitar.
 
John R. Bennet

John R. Bennett MD –Valley General Hospital Medical Director/Board Member

John R. Bennett, MD has been with NSEM for approximately 20 years. Dr. Bennett is the Medical Director for Valley General Hospital . Dr. Bennett’s avid support and dedication to both NSEM and Valley General Hospital and its community, has been a tremendous asset to all parties concerned. Dr. Bennett also serves on NSEM’s Human Resources/Scheduling Committee.

Dr. Bennett has amassed nearly thirty years of experience in the health care industry. He was born in a small town in southern Missouri and in due course attended the University of Missouri where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree along with an A.B in Microbiology. He then continued at the University of Missouri where received his Medical Degree, Dr. Bennett completed his residency at the Truman Medical Center in Kansas City and later served as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine within the same institution. Dr. Bennett subsequently moved to Seattle; accepting a position with Swedish Hospital and served as the Medical Director with the Snohomish County Emergency Medical Services.

In conjunction with his many life-long achievements, Dr. Bennett has received recognition for AOA, Housestaff of the Year, and the George Hedgepeth Award for community service. Dr. Bennett continues his commitment to servicing the local community, and when not engaged in this role, enjoys horticulture, reading, and horses. Dr. Bennett currently lives in Seattle with his wife Julie, and two step children.
 
Robert Iguchi

Robert Iguchi MD - Board Member/Secretary

Robert Iguchi, MD is another long time partner who has been with NSEM for over 20 years . He is one of our most recent members elected to the Board of Directors, as the Group’s Secretary effective January of 2009.

Dr. Iguchi is no stranger to the Pacific Northwest. He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and has lived here for the majority of his life. He attended the University of Washington where he obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Microbiology and subsequently earned his medical degree from the same institution. Dr. Iguchi completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. For the past twenty-plus years he has served as the Medical Director for the city of Lake Stevens Fire Department. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Prior to his work experience with NSEM, he was Chief of the Emergency Department at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Denver Colorado.

Dr. Iguchi’s many interests include baseball, tennis, family activities and watching movies. He and his wife of 30 years, have three children.

 
Antonio Brandt

Antonio Brandt MD - Board Member/Treasurer

Antonio Brandt, MD, FACEP, FAAEM, joined NSEM in 2007, and was elected to the Board of Directors in January, 2009. He has been active in numerous committees with NSEM and with Providence Regional Medical Center, Everett, with a focus on quality and process improvement. These include assisting with the design of the new Emergency Department for the hospital tower to be built in 2011, participating in the Cardiac Evaluation Unit process improvement committee, serving as an ACLS instructor, and chairing the Emergency Department Patient Satisfaction Improvement Committee.

Dr. Brandt was born in Texas and raised in Texas and Algeciras, Spain. He started college early at the University of North Texas, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Genetics at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine Degree from UT Southwestern College of Medicine in Dallas, Texas, where he served as President of the Medical Student Section of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Medical Association. He then completed his Residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Brandt served as a volunteer EMT at Texas A & M University.

Prior to his coming to NSEM, Dr. Brandt served as an Emergency Physician and Flight Surgeon for the U. S. Army. He completed the Army Flight Surgeon Course at Fort Rucker, Alabama. From there, he was assigned as a Battalion Flight Surgeon to the 10th Aviation Brigade out of Fort Drum, New York. He was subsequently assigned as the Squadron Flight Surgeon for the 4th Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment in Fort Lewis, Washington.

Dr. Brandt is married and when he is not spending time with his family, he enjoys traveling and outdoor recreational activities.

 
Randall Dickson

Randall Dickson PA-C – Board Member/Physician Assistant Director

Randall Dickson, MPAS, PA-C has been with NSEM since 2000. In 2008 he was appointed to our Board of Directors. He is the lead representative for NSEM’s Physician Assistant partners. PA Dickson is largely responsible for the future growth of our Associate Medical Staff, representing the group as a whole, being their lead voice of communication. In addition, PA Dickson serves on NSEM’s Human Resources Committee, the Risk Management Committee, Finance, and Emergency Department Operations Committee.

PA Dickson was born and raised in the Midwest. He received his Bachelor Degree in Human Resources & Development at Oakland University in Rochester Michigan. After working in the business world for 12 years he went to the University of Washington, School of Medicine, and received a Bachelor of Clinical Health Services, and received his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.

PA Dickson has also worked in Orthopedic Surgery in Mt. Vernon, Washington, and provided emergency patient care at the Saint Francis Emergency Department in Federal Way, Washington. Among his many accomplishments he has received the “Amazing Service Award” from Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in 2003. In 2005, he was honored with the “Physician Assistant of the Year “award for Region 3 from the Washington Academy of Physicians Assistants. PA Dickson was also awarded WAPA’s future leadership scholarship. He was a Washington Academy of Physician Assistants Region 3 Director for two elected terms and was President of his class when attending the University of Washington.

Some other activities that PA Dickson enjoys are world travel and cooking. He also has volunteered for numerous organizations throughout his life including a recent medical mission to Haiti.

Samuel J. Finn
 
Samuel J. Finn MD – ED Operations Committee Chair & Litigation Manager

Another long-time colleague of North Sound Emergency Medicine, is Samuel Finn, MD, FACEP. Dr. Finn has been with NSEM for more than 20 years. Dr. Finn is currently the Chairperson for the Emergency Department Operations Committee and has recently been appointed to the position of “Litigation Manager”. Along with his twenty-four years of emergency medicine experience, Dr. Finn’s expertise in risk management has been key to providing compliance education and improving emergency department processes. Dr. Finn serves on NSEM’s Risk Management Committee and the Emergency Department Operations Committee.

Dr. Finn was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Stanford University where he received his Bachelor's Degree majoring in Human Biology and went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Wright State University School of Medicine located in Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to practicing Emergency Medicine with NSEM, Dr. Finn has volunteered his time in Kerala, India, performing medical missionary work in that country. Dr. Finn also held the Emergency Department Chairman position for Providence Everett Medical Center between 1996-98, and 2006-2007. He currently serves on the hospital’s Medical Staff Quality Review Committee. Dr. Finn is also Medical Advisor to Snohomish County EMS. When not spending time with his wife and two children, Sam enjoys numerous outdoor recreational activities and fiction writing.
 
J. Michael Roseberry

J. Michael Roseberry MD – Finance Committee Chair
Michael Roseberry, MD has been with NSEM for almost six years. He was appointed Chairperson for the Finance Committee in 2006.

Dr. Roseberry earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of California, San Diego located in La Jolla, California. He then relocated to Valhalla, New York where he received his Medical Degree from the New York Medical College where he received clinical honors in Surgery and Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Honors in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Trauma Surgery. Dr. Roseberry also earned the Cor E Manus Distinguished Service Award while at New York Medical College. Dr. Roseberry went onto complete his Residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and served on the Residency Interview and the Emergency Medicine Residency Educational Services Committees.

Prior to joining NSEM, Dr. Roseberry worked with the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served as a Physician with Flight for Life, an air medical transport program based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he received the Silver Wings Award in 2000, and was the recipient of the FFL Scene Call of the Year Award in 2001.

In July of 2007 he received the Providence Everett General Medical Center’s Amazing Service Award.

Dr. Roseberry takes a special interest in baseball and SCUBA Diving.
 
 
Hansen

Sarah M. Hansen MD – Risk Management Committee Chair & Compliance Manager

Sarah Hansen, MD has worked with NSEM since 2005. She is the Group’s Risk Manager and chairperson for the Risk Management Committee, and has recently been appointed Compliance Offer. Despite the relatively short tenure in these positions, Dr. Hansen has made a significant impact on the Group’s operations. Dr. Hansen is also a member of the Emergency Department Operations Committee.

Dr. Hansen was born and raised in the Midwest and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. Dr. Hansen went onto earn a Medical Degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois where she also performed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Rush Medical Center. Later she went on to complete her Emergency Medicine Residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

While attending college and completing her residency, Dr. Hansen held many leadership roles including servings as President of the Student Division of Alpha Omega Alpha where she currently maintains membership. Dr. Hansen also served as Chairperson for the Charity and Welfare Committee Student Senate, and served on the Student Senate Financial Advisory Board and was a member of the Student Senate and the St. Basil’s Steering Committee. Dr. Hansen was also awarded the Dean’s Fellowship, and was honored as a Presidential Scholar and Alpha Lambda Delta.

While in Illinois, Dr. Hansen volunteered her time at the Pilsen Homeless Clinic and the Community Health Clinic and founded the Health Education Program at Deborah’s Place, an organization which provides emergency, interim housing, and various supportive programs for homeless women in Chicago.

Dr. Hansen is married with two children, and when not spending time with her family, enjoys fitness activities.
 
 
Denkinger

Todd M. Denkinger MD - Physician Assistant Liaison

Dr. Todd Denkinger is a relatively new member of the Group having been with NSEM since December of 2006. Throughout this brief time-period, Dr. Denkinger’s eager participation on each of the Group’s operational committees has been much appreciated. Dr. Denkinger has been recently nominated as NSEM’s Physician Assistant Liaison to facilitate communication between the MDs and PAs and participate in educational/training activities with the PA's.

Dr. Denkinger was born in Iowa, and raised in Southeast Alaska. Dr. Denkinger holds a Bachelors of Science Degree majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology and a Medical Degree from the University of Washington,. Dr. Denkinger then relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia to complete his Emergency Medicine residency training at the University of Virginia.

After residency, Dr. Denkinger worked out of Orangeburg, South Carolina as an “Assistant Medical Director” for seven years, and “Medical Director” for six years at the Orangeburg County EMS.

Dr. Denkinger’s many interests include running, biking, camping, and golf. He and his wife have two children.
 
Patrick B. Barry

Patrick B. Barry MBA - Executive Director

Patrick Barry joined NSEM as the Executive Director in March of 2007. He brings with him over 14 years of medical management experience. During his short tenure. Patrick has made great strides in assisting the Leadership Team in NSEM’s organizational development, developed many policies and procedures, and is busy developing the framework to help NSEM move forward. Patrick’s main focus is to ensure the myriad of administrative functions are completed accurately and timely to allow the providers to focus on practicing medicine for our patients.

Prior to joining NSEM, Patrick served as the Associate Director for Operations with the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California for 7 years. In this position, he directed operations of the Emergency Department, the only Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center in Orange County. There he developed the tools and methodology to monitor clinical service productivity and profitability, including benchmarking against other academic groups throughout the country. He also was key in developing short-term and long-term strategic plans for the Department, and created financial systems and statements to track, analyze and audit departmental billing, revenue and expenses.

Patrick was born in the Bronx, New York and was raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Patrick received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and shortly thereafter went onto earn his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.

Patrick’s primary interests include golf, woodworking and outdoor recreation along with spending time with his wife and son.
